CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
We love to hear from you.
Here's what some of our customers have had to say about this product:
- 6/26/09 - Great Jig
- From John via Amazon Review, California
"After being very disappointed with a previous sign jig I was nervious about trying another. This jig is easy to use, clamps well to the product and comes complete with all the necessary accessories to set it up and begin work."
- 4/11/09 - Easy Sign Making
- From 'HepCat' via Amazon Review, Florida
"The jig is easy to set up and use. It took some practice to produce proper-looking letters from templates that had open spaces, such as the "O" and the "A", but it was mastered quickly. The letters and frame are not super heavy duty , but more than adequate. Highly recommended for value."
- 8/24/08
- From Frank via Rockler Review, Kentucky
"We received the "Router SignPro" a few weeks ago. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews since I was purchasing the sign crafter for my 14 year old Son. He had designed a new road sign for our Church and wanted to make it out of Cedar. He had never used a plunge router before, but has worked out in my wood shop with me since he was about 5 years old.
We received the kit, and figured it out without even looking at the directions. We could not figure out what was so hard so we decided to make a test sign in some scrap cedar. He made a sign for his mother which turned out great; his first time with a plunge router and our first time with the sign crafter.
Naturally the road sign is a little more challenging, but we have not had any problems we use the clamps that came with the kit as well as extra clamps to make sure the middle of the jig does not move. He had one letter pop out while he was lining up the router, but that was all and he just finished the 48" by 24" sign today. Not bad, I wish it would have been on sale when I bought ours, but that is the way it goes.
If you have a little common sense, and a little knowledge of tools and how things work, you will not have any trouble with this product."
- 2/22/08 - Signs for all Seasons
- From Jonathon via Eagle America Review, Michigan
"This was my first sign-making set. The first night I made my house number, my name, and my dog's name for her doghouse. Set-up is easy and I learned quickly to work slowly and let the bit stop completely between letters. Once I started I couldn't stop!"
- 3/18/08
- From Jay via Rockler Review, Tennessee
"Excellent product. This template is much sturdier than most of the sign making templates I've seen in the past. It would be nice if it included vertical letters in both sizes. All things considered it is the best on the market."
- 12/18/07
- From Harry via Rockler Review, Pennsylvania
"I was looking at the book for my old Craftsman router. I purchased it in March of 82, yep over 25 years ago and the base plate fit like a glove. The rest of the kit went together so easy and I was making signs in minutes. This is a fantastic tool. I would recommend it to anyone. Great service from Rockler also. I will be a steady customer."
- 6/18/07
- From Dennis via Rockler Review, California
"I have an old Craftsman router, 315 series, about thirty years old. I wasn't sure if the the base would fit, but it does.
I assembled the kit from the photos, and immediately started doing some trial runs. This is a nice kit. It is easy to make signs. Probably the biggest challenge is sorting through the letters. They are all black plastic. I suggest spreading them all out on a table top so you can see them all at once.I look forward to making some serious signs."
- 2/18/07
- From Gerald via Rockler Review, Louisiana
"This is the best and easiest signmaking I have found yet. All it takes is a little common sense. Makes very good looking signs. "
