HELPFUL HINTS
- Use a V-Groove bit for 2D designs. Adjust the depth of cut to control the amount of detail in the finished piece
- Different router bit profiles and depths of cut will yield different results. Find what works best for you
- Use a 1/8" veining bit for 3D designs
- Rest your forearms on the work bench using only your fingers for better control
- Wax the bottom of the router tray with parafin or candle wax for smoother control and an easier glide as you rout
- For 3D carvings, start at the highest point and work your way down to the lower points
