Hinge Mortise – What to do if the stop on the jamb prevents the template from going over it?

If the stop on the door jamb exceeds the height of the template frame, you will want to create a shim or spacer to accommodate the additional height that you will need. Please be sure that the router bit will still properly ride along the inside of the hinge template after your spacer is in place.
